PARCO launches in Nagold as second exclusive PARCO city
From now on, it's “mobile parking and more with PARCO” in Nagold: SWARCO's PARCO app has also been available in Nagold since October 1, 2024. We are particularly pleased about this addition, as Nagold is an exclusive PARCO city. After Wuppertal, Nagold is the second city with which SWARCO has signed an exclusive contract for the next few years. In all other cities where PARCO is in use, there are several providers at the start.
With the app, you can find a suitable parking space in Nagold as usual without much effort, pay parking fees to the minute without cash and flexibly extend parking tickets on your smartphone. Although there is a small administrative surcharge on top of the normal parking fees, the savings from the minute-by-minute billing and extension option usually outweigh this.
In Nagold, however, PARCO can do a lot more: electric car drivers can also find information on e-charging stations in Nagold. And in addition to parking options, PARCO in Nagold also provides information about the city's other mobility options. In this way, users can find the best means of transportation for their onward journey and PARCO is transformed from a pure cell phone parking app into a mobility app.
For the city of Nagold, PARCO is an important building block in holistic, modern parking and traffic management. The app helps the city to use its parking space more efficiently, reduce parking search traffic and emissions and better distribute road users among existing mobility options.
SWARCO set up the parking guidance system in Nagold in 2022 - PARCO is now the logical next step. PARCO serves as a digital twin of the parking guidance system, as the information obtained there about the current parking occupancy in the city is visualized directly in PARCO. This means you can select the right parking space before you set off.
In addition to Nagold, PARCO can currently be used for cell phone parking at more than 290 locations in Germany, for example in Cologne, Dortmund, Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt am Main. In future, many more cities will use PARCO not only as a parking app, but also as a mobility app.
