Looking back at Saudi Intermobility Expo 2025

From December 1 to 3, 2025, Riyadh hosted the Saudi Intermobility Expo 2025, one of the Middle East’s foremost trade exhibitions for transport, infrastructure, and mobility innovation. Taking place at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Convention Center, the event once again drew thousands of professionals, government representatives, investors, and technology providers focused on the evolution of mobility solutions across the Kingdom and the broader MENA region. For SWARCO, this exhibition in the Kingdom's capital felt like a home game as we look back on numerous projects in Riyadh within the past decade.

Aims and strategic focus

At this point, we would like to remind readers of this article that the main objective of the Intermobility Expo is to advance Saudi Arabia’s national mobility ecosystem, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030's goals to transform the Kingdom into a global logistics and transport hub. The event serves as a platform for showcasing state-of-the-art infrastructure technologies and smart transport solutions, helping stakeholders from road construction to intelligent transport systems engage and collaborate.
More specifically, the expo Saudi Intermobility Expo targets innovations in key sectors such as:
•    Roads, bridges, and highways
•    Public transport
•    Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and digital mobility
•    Traffic safety and future mobility technologies
•    Parking and road marking

Opportunities for Industry and Networking

For SWARCO, this was a significant opportunity to strengthen its market position, showcase new products and solutions, and capitalize on networking opportunities. With over 200 exhibitors from around 30 countries, the event brought together local authorities, private companies, and international innovators, facilitating knowledge exchange and the formation of new commercial partnerships. Attendees had access to workshops, forums, and expert presentations, including the World Future Roads Forum, which brought together transport leaders and planners to discuss strategic topics such as smart road design, sustainable infrastructure, and urban mobility planning.
Alongside the exhibition floors, specialized CPD-accredited workshops and sessions offered professional development and insights into cutting-edge technologies tailored to Saudi Arabia’s long-term transport strategy.

This Year’s Highlights and Outcomes

Key highlights of the 2025 edition included:

• Smart AI software

Introducing a new era of urban traffic management by using reinforcement-learning algorithms and real-time data from detectors and connected vehicles to predict and respond to traffic conditions dynamically. At SWARCO, this is a central part in providing instant actions to avoid delays or network disruptions. With this solution, we can enable fully adaptive and autonomous traffic control, enhancing traffic flow, reducing emissions, and supporting smarter mobility in Saudi cities.

• Signaling thought leadership

Through the World Future Roads Forum, we addressed strategic issues like road safety, digital infrastructure, and sustainable transport. We demonstrated OMNIA with our installation in Doha.

• Showcasing new products and mobility technologies

Showcasing new products and mobility technologies aimed at bolstering operational efficiency and advancing Saudi transport systems in line with national targets. Especially in view of the Kingdom’s fast development and extensive infrastructure projects, we highlighted our LED mobile signals and trailer VMS. This smart messenger is a trailer-mounted, full-color matrix sign with a variable message display. Usable in various situations, flexible, and easy to handle to improve road safety by keeping drivers informed.

• High-Quality SWARCO Road Marking Systems

Presenting ourselves as a comprehensive supplier of high-quality road marking systems, our key focus areas include premium marking materials, reflective glass beads for optimal night-time visibility, specialized marking solutions for airports, and marking systems to enhance road safety under demanding climatic conditions.

• Dialogue and collaboration

Strengthening our market position in Saudi Arabia and the region is essential to securing long-term participation in major infrastructure projects, many of which are central to national development plans such as Vision 2030. Deepening partnerships with authorities, clients, and industry stakeholders ensures that our solutions are closely aligned with local requirements and standards, enabling smoother project execution and fostering trust that leads to repeat business and strategic collaboration.

• Networking

Talking to the region's stakeholders to learn more about local challenges is a very integral part for us. We demonstrated reference projects in the area, which we have sucessfully completed in the past 10 years.

For us, the event is a catalyst for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strategic planning. We look back on many high-quality discussions, both with long-standing partners and promising new potential customers. By reinforcing Riyadh’s role as a key nexus for transport innovation, the expo contributed to ongoing efforts to modernize infrastructure and meet Vision 2030 mobility objectives.
