ITC controller now also SCATS compatible
The good news arrives right in time for the ITS World Congress & exhibition in Singapore: SWARCO got it - the official certificate that our ITC controller is compatible with the world's most widely used traffic management system: SCATS.
SCATS stands for Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System and is homologated by Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) in New South Wales / Australia. When handing over the official certificate at the SWARCO stand in Singapore, Jeff McCarthy, RMS Executive Director, said; "We welcome SWARCO to the SCATS family. This is the first new family member in 11 years.“
Morten Sondergaard, Managing Director of Odense-based SWARCO TECHNOLOGY and producer of the ITC controller generation, confirms that "it has been a great pleasure to work with the experts from RMS to get the approval for our controller. Our product is now compatible with all major traffic management systems used in intersection control around the globe, including SCATS, SCOOT, NTCIP annd OMNIA.“
SWARCO's speaker of the Executive Board, Michael Schuch, congratulates on this milestone.
