Future-proof and sustainable: Fully Electric Truck-Mounted Aerial Work Platforms

While we are always looking to improve the flow of traffic with our products and solutions in order to reduce the impact on the environment, we attach great importance to improving the ecological footprint of our own operations.

As of 2023, selected SWARCO subsidiaries have already started to electrify their fleet beyond normal cars. One of these subsidiaries is SWARCO Netherlands, which will be one of the first Dutch companies to drive the 100% electric truck-mounted aerial work platforms for maintenance work in addition to regular electric vehicles.

With the work platforms manufactured by Versalift BeNeLux and distributed by the Dutch company HDW, we can achieve our destinations for maintenance work on critical infrastructure in the provinces of Groningen, Drenthe and Zwolle quickly, fully electrically and with a smaller ecological footprint.

A unique feature of the aerial work platforms is their large operating radius, which enables our technicians to cover longer distances (around 250 km). Past experience has shown us that the range is completely sufficient for 99.9% of our operations, making vehicles powered by fossil fuels superfluous in our daily work. This will be an important step towards safe, efficient and sustainable provision of services in the North-Eastern region.

Looking forward to further outstanding traffic management projects, we want to take this opportunity to thank our partners for their excellent collaboration. Having a shared vision is fantastic and motivates us even more to continue working towards a more sustainable future.
