- How the ticketless parking method works:
The extension and deep integration of the already widely used license plate recognition functions into the parking system enables ticket-free parking.
The driver stops in front of the entrance barrier, the system checks the status of the license plate, if it is valid, it opens immediately. If it is not valid, the system assigns a virtual ticket to the number plate and automatically enters it. At the same time, the number plate is displayed on the entrance terminal display. If the reliability of the number plate recognition is low, e.g. if the number plate is damaged or dirty, the access is granted by conventional ticketing.
At the end of the parking session, the parking fee is paid at the pay machine by presenting the number plate. If the customer is entitled to a discount at an internal service unit (e.g. cinema), a discount can be granted at the discount terminal staffed by the operator by presenting the registration number.
The customer experience on exit is the same as on entry.
