REFLECTIVE SHEETING
For Sign Faces of Traffic Signs
Sign faces on traffic signs are made of retroreflective sheeting. These are ideal due to a long lifetime regarding colour fade and due to their very good retroreflectivity. Incoming light is returned, mostly independent of the angle of the light.
Retroreflectivity is achieved by embedding micro glass beads with a diameter of 0.01 to 0.1 mm or micro prisms.
