Dynamic travel information systems (DRIS)

We develop dynamic information boards at stops and stations that provide travelers with up-to-date travel information. The signs provide real-time information about departure and arrival times and the departure platform. By means of smart on-board systems that communicate with roadside units and traffic control installations, the exact location of the vehicle is determined. We take care of the entire chain, from the systems and equipment in the vehicle and at the roadside, the raw travel information to the real-time information on the signs.

In addition to dynamic passenger information systems, we realize dynamic bus stations. The stations are equipped with our VECOM system, which matches buses with the carrier's database and sends them to the available preferred platforms. If the fixed platform of a bus line is occupied, the bus is automatically directed to the next free platform. The information boards are automatically updated. The manager also has the possibility, without our intervention, to put free texts on the information boards and to make adjustments in the order. Our solution provides a higher capacity per stop, allowing the station to be visited by more lines and creating a better accessibility of the region.

Maintenance and fault handling in passenger information systems

We carry out the management and maintenance of various traveler information systems in the Netherlands. Among other things, we maintain the data distribution servers, hardware and secure communication to the information boards. We carry out periodic preventive maintenance to minimize the risk of malfunctions.

Through our Remote Management applications, faults in the system are independently detected, reported to our Service Desk, monitored and resolved without you having to take any action. This system also keeps track of the availability and provides periodic customer reports on the operation of the traveler information system.
