YORKFLOW - FAQ'S

Why doesn't the YorkFlow app show the advised speed sometimes?
Speed advice is not shown if it is calculated as much less than the speed limit – we would not advise you to drive at 2mph in a 30mph zone – sometimes there is no practical speed to drive to reach a junction on a green light. Also, speed advice is not shown if the app doesn't have enough information about the traffic signals.
Speed advice is removed from the app display when you are moving and nearly at the junction, since you should use the actual traffic lights at this point.

Why does the advised speed change sometimes?
Changing traffic conditions, such as vehicles approaching the junction from a side road, may alter the timings of the traffic lights and trigger a change in the advised speed. Also, the advised speed will usually change at a point where the speed limit changes.

Why are some signals shown as grey?
The YorkFlow York app has access to information about the signals supporting the main traffic flows through the serviced junctions, some other signals are not currently supported by the system.
Additionally, even information about the signals supporting the main traffic flows is not always available to the YorkFlow app, and at these times these signals will be shown as grey.

Why can’t I access the YorkFlow app menu?
The YorkFlow York app menu is accessed by clicking/pressing on the three bars (known as the hamburger icon).
For safety reasons, the app menu is not accessible when travelling at over 10mph. Do not try to interact with the app whilst driving.
