About the Role

Due to continued growth and expansion, SWARCO is seeking an experienced Senior Production Planner to take ownership of production planning within our bespoke electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.

This is a key leadership role where you will drive planning excellence, improve existing systems, and ensure our operations scale efficiently to meet increasing demand. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how production planning evolves within a high-quality, low-volume (non–mass production) environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Take the lead in developing and executing production plans and schedules to meet customer demand
• Drive improvements to the current planning system, making it more streamlined, efficient, and scalable
• Use SAP S/4HANA (PP/MRP/MPS) to manage and optimise planning activities
• Work within a bespoke, quality-focused assembly environment rather than a high-volume production line
• Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints—and implement solutions
• Collaborate closely with procurement and external suppliers to maintain timelines and resolve supply issues
• Ensure material availability to support uninterrupted production
• Mentor and support a less experienced production planner, helping develop capability within the team
• Lead planning discussions and communicate priorities clearly across stakeholders

Profile

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in production planning within an assembly/manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (Production Planning modules)
• Experience in bespoke or engineered-to-order environments (preferred over high-volume production lines)
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage changing priorities
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working with external suppliers and managing lead times
• A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to enhance processes and systems
