Your Challenge

To Install and maintain Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Equipment to customer specifications and ensure contractual obligations, terms and conditions are met. 

Your Challenge

• To install and maintain ITS equipment to a high standard. (ANPR, CCTV, VMS, etc) and supporting networking systems
• Competently liaise and communicate complex technical explanations to customers & managers
• Contract Administration i.e. Preparation of technical reports, updating of assets records, weekly timesheets, stock requisitions, and vehicle inspection & mileage forms
• Through knowledge and adherence of company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and methodologies
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, tools and PPE in a serviceable condition
• Guidance, training, sharing of job-specific knowledge and experience, and provide support to all colleagues as required

Your Profile

Essential

• Department of Education Leaving Certificate
• Understanding of IP networks and their configuration
• Experience working with fibre optic networks (OTDR/ILM testing & fusion splicing)
• Experience in the writing and production of technical reports
• ECDL and/or proficiency in MS Office Applications in particular MS Excel essential
• Full clean B driving licence
• Knowledge of numbering systems and logical processes
• Ability to work on own
• Ability to work at heights
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work on a standby / callout rota
• Safety awareness
• Safe manual handling skills
• Excellent communications skills and experience of report writing
• Full class B driving license
• Right to live and work in Ireland

Desirable

• Electrical / Electronic Engineering qualification
• Cisco networking (CCNA) qualification or similar
• Experience in similar role or within the traffic industry
• Experience with wireless technology networks
• Experience of working on the roadside including associated Health & Safety procedures
• Fás Safe Pass
• CSCS Signing, Lighting & Guarding at Roadworks
• CSCS Location of Underground Services
