HR Data Analyst

Your Challenge

SWARCO have an amazing opportunity for an HR Data Analyst to join the team in Basingstoke. The ideal candidate will be responsible for, the collection, compilation, and analysis of people, Recruitment and L&D data, metrics and statistics. Managing robust regular management information with delivery to the Senior Leadership Team and wider SWARCO business.

The ideal candidate will be based in and around the Basingstoke/Hampshire area with the ability to commute to the office in Chineham a minimum of 3 days per week. This is a hybrid role with 60% of your time spent in the office and 40% working from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and compile HR and L&D metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labour statistics, competitors’ practices, and other sources
  • Produce a regular cadence of management information reports, with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, training statistics, employee survey data and compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Prepare the regular management information reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to senior leadership and the wider HR Team
  • Identify and recommend reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics to support SWARCO’s people strategies and objectives
  • Actively manage the accuracy of data within the HRIS, the collation and distribution of HR/manager dashboards and automatic reporting
  • May conduct or assist with conducting classification audits and supporting document management to ensure compliance within the relevant ISO standard and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • May assist HR leadership with staffing, recruiting, and departmental budgets.
  • Assisting the HR team in the progression and moderation of operating policies, guidelines, and systems to encourage best practice within the company

Your Profile

  • Qualified to degree level or CIPD qualification would be advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrable HR analysis experience with the ability to present findings and recommendations for people strategy improvements
  • Excellent communication and interpretation skills
  • Analysing and evaluating issues in HR
  • Understanding and confidence in using specific systems and programs, including Excel, PowerPoint and database management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and capable of communicating with individuals at all levels and from various backgrounds
  • Researching and reading data and reports
  • Ability to make judgements and decisions on confidential matters, and plan and manage complex administrative systems and practices
  • High levels of initiative and attention to detail, with a creative approach to problem solving
  • Strong IT skills, with experience of Microsoft Office, HR databases
  • Excellent Excel skills are essential
