University lecture again in SWARCO TRAFFIC WORLD
On April 28, 2022, SWARCO TRAFFIC WORLD once again became a lecture hall. Prof. Mailer (University of Innsbruck, Institute for Infrastructure, Intelligent Transport Systems Department) once again brought his environmental engineering students to SWARCO to give the lecture a strong practical orientation. Representatives of the Austrian Transport Science Society also accepted Prof. Mailer's invitation.
After a much acclaimed presentation of augmented reality in STW as well as deep insights into the secrets of LED signaling, glass beads and lane markings by Richard Neumann, two guest speakers from the ranks of BMW in Munich took over the floor to inform the audience(s) about BMW's transformation into a mobility service provider and e-vehicle supplier. The networking of cars, on-demand mobility scenarios, challenges in e-mobility and urban traffic management as well as automated driving were the subjects of the presentation and lively discussion. After a good four hours, the participants said their goodbyes, not without first having fortified themselves with a midday snack and having made their opinions known at the feedback wall in the STW.
