What you will do
We have a vacancy for a CAD Design Engineer to join our team – ideally in/around the Melsonby area. Melsonby is our sole production site for the UK and Ireland. Using technical drawing and designs to build our traffic signals/lights.
You will be:
- Creation of 3D CAD engineering designs – using Autodesk Inventor & other design tools.
- Oversee Product Life Cycle Management process in Vault
- Producing Bills of Materials along with fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Developing, documenting and implementing the relevant design standards.
- Assistance with Production packs and improving drawing pack for sales/production.
Profile
What we are looking for
- At least 5 years of experience with modelling and draughting experience and a command of the Autodesk software.
- Demonstrable experience producing manufacturing information and application of manufacturing designs.
- Experience in producing assembly drawings, layouts, scheme, part drawings and sheet metal fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design constraints (material, tolerance, process etc) would be desirable.
